Katherine has broad cross-border litigation, dispute resolution and advocacy experience gained at a number of leading law firms in the Midlands, the Channel Islands and London. She has resolved disputes by negotiation, mediation and arbitration and is an experienced and formidable litigator.
Katherine is experienced at leading large and complex matters across multiple jurisdictions and has experience working for a leading offshore magic circle firm. Her matters often have a cross border element and Katherine has frequently worked in cases with a value of up to £80 million pounds.
Katherine works quickly and efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service, and has obtained injunctions on the same day as instruction, alongside obtaining worldwide freezing orders and various interim orders.

Work Highlights
- Representing a prime international wealth structuring client, leading to US $65m tax saving and shaped a successful settlor rectification application.
- Acting for a defendant on a £50m fraud / share ownership agreement and obtaining a successful settlement.
- Acting for a claimant in a £20m joint venture agreement claim relating to a multi-million-pound commercial site and lining up ATE policies to fund the claim.
- Acting for a claimant on an £18m shared ownership dispute and persuading the defendant to withdraw its security for costs application and pay our client’s costs. This saved our client c.£1m, being the likely cost and success payment of additional security.
- Acting for a claimant on a £2m shareholder dispute where two shareholders entered various building developments, but the defendant acted inequitably. Involved breach of contract, unfair prejudice and undue influence.
- Acting for a trust company and successfully defending against a professional negligence claim, involving a multi-million-pound inheritance tax dispute.
- Acting for a defendant on an unjust enrichment claim on a construction dispute where invoices had purportedly been paid in error. We successfully had the claim against the directors struck out.
- Acting for a defendant where the claimant was seeking shared ownership over a property owned by our client. We successfully had the entire claim struck out based on abuse of process.
- Acting for a claimant challenging jurisdiction, to enable the claim to be heard in a more favourable jurisdiction.
- Acting on an unfair prejudice claim where our client and the potential defendant were in deadlock (50% of the shares each) in ownership of the company.
- Advising regarding termination of an ineffective shareholder and director.
- Acting on fraud matters and obtaining worldwide freezing orders against defendants to prevent dissipation of assets.
- Advising on potential insolvency claims, including wrongful or fraudulent trading, transactions at undervalue and misfeasance.
