Our Experience

    • Providing advice to digital and content creation channel for Spanish football ‘La Liga’. Advice includes the structuring and securing of various rights, securing of content and associated rights with various high profile Spanish footballers including Lewis Garcia, Victor Sanchez Del Almo, Gabriela Mendieta and various other high profile footballers and managers.
    • Acting as lead legal adviser to MTB Ventures on the structuring, protection and growth of new tennis format and series, ‘Tie Break Tens Tennis’. Hamlins successfully negotiated the involvement of players including Rafa Nadal, Serena Williams, Andy Murray, Venus Williams, Nic Kyrios, Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova, and advised on the staging of a Tie Break Tens at the first Grand Slam in Australia and also an event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Hamlins has been involved in the negotiation and drafting of all broadcast arrangements relating to the sale of media and digital rights in connection with the series, involving contracts and arrangements with broadcasters such as ESPN, Fox Sports, Euro Sport, Sky Sports, The Tennis Channel and various other broadcasters covering more than 100 different countries, and the negotiation of digital broadcast arrangements with internet and streaming platforms such as Facebook, Tennis.com, Grabyo and various other digital providers.
    • Advising Playfootball, a leading provider of football venues for competitive leagues, on the roll-out of sports centres and 5-a-side football centres across England on a range of advice on their site expansion including defending a high profile planning challenge at Hammersmith, advising on the acquisition of sites under the Futsal brand, an agreement for a lease for a new site in Swindon and construction documents for new sites. PlayFootball develop their own sites and we negotiate and advise on the construction contract and the appointments of the professional team.
    • Hamlins acts as the sole legal adviser to the business and has negotiated and brokered various arrangements in connection with the commercial development and exploitation of various brand collaboration arrangements with key sports brands including: The Rugby Football Union, The Premier League, The FA, Adidas, Portsmouth FC, La Manga and The FA Peoples Cup.
    • Advised model, social media influencer and women’s rights campaigner Iskra Lawrence regarding the development, protection and implementation of the EVERYBODY WITH IKSRA brand. This was a unique project which required the development of a new iconic brand and the licensing of this brand to a technology platform to enable Iskra to launch a lifestyle, health and fitness app.
