The Estate of Peter Green, founder member of Fleetwood Mac

Hamlins acted for our valued client, the Estate of Peter Green, on a landmark deal with Primary Wave in 2025, which saw the publisher acquire Green’s Rattlesnake music publishing catalogue, as well as interests in compositions written by Green and in certain recordings.

Peter Green (1946-2020) was a founder member of Fleetwood Mac, alongside drummer Mick Fleetwood. He was the genius behind hits such as Black Magic Woman, Albatross, Oh Well and Man of the World and is regarded as one of the greatest songwriters and guitarists of all time. In fact, legendary American Blues musician, B.B. King once said: “He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats.”

The team has acted for the Estate of Peter Green since 2020, and before this, acted for him prior to his passing.

Peter’s songwriting and guitar work has left a lasting mark on music history, and it is a privilege to continue to support the next chapter in preserving and promoting his brilliant legacy.
