About Harmony
Harmony is an Associate in our Commercial and Tech team.
Harmony provides advice and guidance on all aspects of entertainment transactions including trade marks, copyright, data protection and clearances for the use of third party copyrighted material.
In her earlier career, Harmony spent more than 10 years in the music industry in a variety of roles including tour manager, production and management assistant, and executive assistant for multiple high-profile clients. She uses this practical experience to provide pragmatic and relevant advice to her music. Her work involves negotiating and drafting agreements in the publishing and recorded music sector for individual creatives and companies.
Prior to joining Hamlins, Harmony spent two years with commercial law firm, Swan Turton, and qualified in October 2024.
Harmony is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in Legal 500 2026.
Work highlights:
- Assisted in the administration, music and commercial matters of a well-known, deceased musician and songwriter.
- Contributed to the negotiation of recording agreements and management contracts for artists and companies.
- Worked on a renegotiation of a well-known songwriter’s publishing agreements with a major publishing company to increase the royalty rates.
- Assisted on aspects of potential sales of music catalogues and royalty streams.
