About Natalie
Natalie is an Associate in the Media Disputes department.
Natalie joined Hamlins in September 2022 and works across a variety of media law matters including defamation, harassment, infringement of privacy and data protection.
She advises on both pre- and post-publication matters, including in respect of issues relating to online publications and social media. Natalie acts for a broad range of clients comprising high profile individuals, sports agents and senior politicians, including in respect of their unlawful information gathering claims against both Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) and News Group Newspapers (NGN). Natalie is also part of the Lead Solicitor team in the Mobile Telephone Voicemail Interception Litigation against NGN.
Natalie has experience in general civil litigation matters including commercial contract disputes, shareholder disputes and fraud. Natalie previously trained at a London based firm and qualified into their litigation practice in 2020.
Natalie graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA in History, before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law. In 2018, Natalie completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University (London), achieving a Distinction.
Work highlights
- Various Claimants v News Group Newspapers – assisting the team in its role as Lead Solicitor in the group phone-hacking litigation as well as advising Claimants on their individual claims against the News of the World and The Sun for misuse of private information by voicemail interception and other unlawful information gathering.
- Lord Watson of Wyre Forest v News Group Newspapers – Natalie was part of the team that secured the landmark settlement and apology on behalf of Lord Watson of Wyre Forest in his unlawful information gathering claim against NGN in January 2025. In a “historic admission of guilt”, NGN admitted, for the first time, unlawful activities were carried out by private investigators working for The Sun.
- Various Claimants v Mirror Group Newspapers – advising individual Claimants in bringing claims against Mirror Group Newspapers for misuse of private information by voicemail interception and other unlawful information gathering.
