About Joss

Joss is a Partner in the Corporate team.

Joss acts for a diverse client base which includes multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity firms, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals and spans multiple sectors including finance, technology, energy, real estate, healthcare, and manufacturing.

He advises clients on a full range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

  •  Mergers and acquisitions;
  • Corporate governance;
  • Joint ventures;
  • Private equity transactions;
  • Capital markets (IPOs, secondary offers);
  • Corporate restructuring;
  • Securities offerings; and
  • General corporate and regulatory matters.

Joss believes in building strong and enduring relationships with his clients and has acted for many of them for more than a decade. His approach is characterised by open communication, active collaboration, and a keen focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Joss qualified in 1999 and worked in firms across London’s West End, Mayfair and the City before founding his own law firm in 2018. He joined Hamlins in 2025.

Work Highlights

  • Assisting a corporate client with multiple acquisitions of various insurance businesses (with initial consideration ranging from £1.9m to over £10m), all utilising complex earn out provisions over 3-year periods and intra-group financing instruments.
  • Assisting with an Irish corporate client’s listing of bonds to European market, Vienna MTF, a multilateral trading facility operated by the Vienna Stock Exchange, initially raising £5m.
  • Assisting an AIM listed, environmentally focused, corporate client with an equity subscription by a US investor over multiple tranches raising £2.25m.
  • Assisting a leading cyber security and network infrastructure specialist with the investment of over £8m by a private equity house. From initially agreeing suitable non-disclosure agreements with potential investors, through the disclosure process, and ultimately to the investment documents and completion.
  • Assisting an individual with their extraction from a business, including a buy-back of their shareholdings for over £4m, and the establishment of a consultancy agreement.
