Hamlins strengthens role in the growth of Tie Break Tens Tennis Series

The second tournament of the Tie Break Tens Tennis Series took place last month in Vienna. Tie Break Tens is a new unique, fast format tennis series, launched at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2015.

This year’s event took place on 23 October at the ATP Erste Bank Open 500. Andy Murray, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Dominic Thiem, Tommy Haas, Goran Ivanisevic and Marcus Willis competed,with Thiem winning the $250,000 prize money.

Hamlins LLP continues in the role of lead advisor to Tie Break Tens, responsible for the structuring, protection, launch and development of the series.  The firm’s involvement has substantially contributed to the growth of this unique new Tennis format, which has exciting future plans on the horizon in 2017.

Hamlins oversees legal and commercial aspects of the project; negotiating with players, structuring IP and commercial rights; managing the broadcast arrangements; negotiating sporting regulations and on the ground event management.

Matthew Pryke, Partner at Hamlins continues to shape the Tie Break Tens in his role as legal advisor and spokesperson for the series and is responsible for directing, supporting and growing the Tie Break Tens brand.
