About Antony

Antony Gostyn is a Consultant in our Media and Entertainment team.

Antony advises on a wide range of issues relating to the film and television industries and his clients include broadcasters, producers, lending institutions and individuals.

Antony is the author of multiple editions of the Producers Alliance for Television and Cinema (PACT) Model Contracts, which form the basis of agreements widely used by television production companies throughout the industry.

Prior to joining Hamlins, Antony was a founding partner of commercial law firm, Swan Turton, which was preceded by a decade as a Partner with Simkins Partnership.

Following qualification, Antony spent several years in the EMI Group Legal department as well as serving as Business Affairs Manager of THORN EMI Video.

He is a trustee of arts charity Lighthouse Arts & Training Limited and the Directors Charitable Foundation, the charity for the UK’s screen and stage directors.

Previously, Antony was a member of the PACT Finance Committee and a director of the Design and Artists Copyright Society.

Antony has been the main production lawyer on a number of feature films including: Phantom of the Opera; Exit Through the Gift Shop; The Inbetweeners – The Movie; and A Street Car Named Bob. Antony speaks French and Spanish.
