Mark Hurst, Head of Hamlins Real Estate Team, has been recognised as a winner in the Finance Monthly Deal Maker Awards 2021.

The annual awards recognise the most impressive transactions in M&A, capital raising, corporate bonds, infrastructure and project finance, equities and restructuring, and celebrate individuals in legal services, corporate, private equity and investment banking.

Mark has been awarded for Hamlins' work advising Structadene on the real estate aspects of its £240m refinancing with Lloyds Bank, supported by Partner John Leasure.

James Thomson, General Counsel at Structadene commented, "The Hamlins team was outstanding. They were pro-active and really drove the property due diligence to ensure we were able to close within the ambitious timeframes that had been set".

Our "extremely well-regarded real estate practice" is recognised in Legal 500 2021 for "displaying genuine ownership of its clients issues" and for being "very approachable and commercial in their approach, always available to give clear, straightforward advice [with] a very good grasp of the needs and priorities of the business".

"The quality of work at all levels is excellent and compared with other firms is exceptional."

Chambers and Partners 2021 recognises Mark Hurst as "a very commercial all-rounder who is really thorough, very helpful and superb in terms of giving quality advice in time-pressured situations".

Senior Partner, Joseph Holder, said: "We are delighted Mark has been recognised by Finance Monthly.
