Maisie Long is a Paralegal in our Media Disputes department.

Maisie studied Law at University of East Anglia and graduated in 2018. Her passion for the media then motivated her to pursue a Master’s in Media Law, Policy and Practice in 2019.

Since joining Hamlins in November 2019, Maisie has worked on a number of privacy and defamation matters. Her main role within the media team is to provide assistance on phone-hacking litigation claims, both in terms of individual claimant work and as part of the Lead Solicitor team for the litigation against News Group Newspapers.

‘I was introduced to Hamlins by a colleague/friend.  I engaged them to act for me in a phone hacking claim.  I found the team to be professional, friendly and approachable at every stage.  They quickly made enquiries and found evidence that there had indeed, been unacceptable interference in my privacy.  Within a very short period I was awarded compensation and an appropriate apology.  I was extremely pleased with the outcome. In particular, I would like to thank Christopher Hutchings, Ellen Gallagher and Maisie Long for their diligence and enthusiasm in their pursuit for justice on my behalf.’
