    Amelia is a Paralegal in our Media Disputes department.

    Amelia joined Hamlins in May 2022 and works across a variety of matters. She assists primarily with the ongoing litigation for unlawful information gathering against News Group Newspapers and Mirror Group Newspapers. She has also worked on the pre-action process of potential libel matters and supports the team across various stages of the dispute resolution process.

    Amelia works closely with a wide range of clients, from high-profile individuals to private clients.

    Amelia graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with a BA Hons in Law with French and French Law and spent a year studying French Law at the Université de Toulon during her third year.

      • Various v News Group Newspapers – working as part of the Media team in the firm’s role as Lead Solicitor in the group phone-hacking litigation.
      • Various v News Group Newspapers – corresponding with clients regarding their individual claims against The Sun and the News of the World for misuse of private information by voicemail interception and unlawful information gathering.
      • Various v Mirror Group Newspapers – assisting other members of the team in advising individuals in bringing claims against MGN for misuse of private information by voicemail interception and unlawful information gathering.
