The dispute resolution team, led by Amanda Burge, are acting for 60 houseboat owners at Chelsea Reach in a dispute with the moorings operator, the Chelsea Yacht & Boat Company.
This is an extremely important case relating to the historic Chelsea Reach moorings adjacent to Cheyne Walk. Those who moor houseboats are not protected by any statutory regulation. The case concerns the houseboat owners’ attempts to restrict the Chelsea Yacht & Boat Company from demanding that licensees pay large premiums for long-term licences in addition to market rate annual mooring fees.
